Gremlin Saving

Turning the Corner...
After giving us a few scares last week and through the weekend, George the Gremlin has finally started to turn the corner! Thanks in large part to a plasma transfusion on Friday, his white blood cells are way up. His gastrointestinal symptoms have subsided. He even ate a small amount of baby food on Saturday, but has not eaten since then.

He will continue to have to be hospitalized until he can eat on his own, but his doctors are confident that he's going to pull through! He was like a different doggy this morning when I transported from the emergency hospital to the vet. He was jumping around the car, intent on sitting on my lap and kissing me constantly! It's so amazing to see him so happy and to have made such an incredible turnaround. :)

The Gremlin is so pumped to start his new life that I couldn't quite bring myself to tell him that he now owes the world over $3000 and counting for his care. I told him that he has a lot of buddies out there who have his back and to just concentrate on getting healthy and giving thank you kisses. He's happy to oblige.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped save George's live. He's an incredibly special little dude and sometimes extraordinary dogs deserve extraordinary efforts!

Gremlin Progress
The Gremlin got a brief respite from the vet last night and got to go hang at Hospital Chemotti! He still won't eat, but did just kill a bowl of Chemotti's honey water concoction. :) He had to go get hooked back up to his ivs this morning, BUT his temperature has dropped a few degrees! The little Gremlin still has a pretty good fight ahead of him, but things are looking up! Thank you so much for your support! Please continue to share this event with your peeps. the little man needs all the help and honey water he can get! Also, Chemotti you are THE man!
The Gremlin is still laid pretty low by the shelter sickness...
The little man had a pretty rough night. He's still throwing up and is extremely lethargic. He is also refusing to eat :(. He's continuing to receive IV and antibiotic treatment at the vet. As soon as we can raise enough to cover x-rays, the vet will check for pneumonia. Dr. Jones from the Washington Park Veterinary Clinic is really optimistic and is being amazing to us and to George. I think they love him as much as we do. :) Please continue to cross post and share. My heart was definitely the boss of my head on this one...

...but when you look at the Gremlin's insanely cute smiling face when he first got to the shelter and his sad little one now...you can't really fault my heart. :)

Thank you so much to all the Gremlin guardian angels who literally saved his life and are continuing to do so!
The Gremlin has left the building...BUT still needs your help!
The little Gremlin made it off deathrow...barely. Thank you so much to Valerie, Mark, Erin, Jayme, Lynnette, Dan and Cindy!

And while George's safe, he's pretty sick. Poor downtrodden Gremie. The shelter had already pulled him from adoptions and weren't going to let me rescue him (enter waterworks ...which worked!) So little George is spending the night at the vet and will likely be there for a few days. His exams, lab work and treatment are expensive and I am unable to cover it on my own. I am trying to raise the money that George needs to help him get better so he can have the second chance he deserves. He's so insanely sweet and cute.

The Gremlin asks that you please consider donating to his chip in so he can get the care he needs. He feels like total bollocks and wants so badly to get better. Anything helps and everything is appreciated. He has an awesome foster home waiting for him and he just wants to go home and crawl into Carla's lap already. Please help him get there!

Thank you to everyone for caring so much about this little Gremlin. He's worth it, I promise!

Gratefully,

George the Gremlin, his new weird dog lady friend and his growing Gremlin loving fan base.
